Our first trip exploring the greenery of singapore Sunday 26 May 2013 @ 05:23

This is a post about 4 girls, Charlotte, Justina, Germaine and Lydia who went on a bonding time in name of our NE project. Have fun reading!

Hey Sunshines~! :D

On the 8th of May, we went to Gardens by the Bay for our first experience of seeing the famous greenery of Singapore! I'll skip the part on how we go there and just get straight to the point.

We walked a whole round of Gardens by the Bay, starting from the Malay Garden.

In the Malay Garden, there are pretty flowers around and we captured some.

Then we moved on to the Chinese Garden,

At the Chinese Garden, there is a 'river flow' pathway, and a very nice 'window' !
A chinese style garden window.

The 'river flow' pathway

A Buddha Sculpture

Afterwards, we went to the Indian Garden!

Then to the Colonial Garden!

See that baby at the background? IT IS THE GIANT BABY called PLANET! It is really big..

And there, we concluded our heritage gardens tour, BUT, we're still far from the end! :D

After the heritage garden tour, we went for a rest at the sheltered area in the middle of the 2 domes as it was drizzling. Meanwhile, here are some photos of us and the items around.

Stone crocodile!

Giraffe by the bay

This looks like some tribal masks

The alligator bench

Giant ANT!

Fabulous us resting on the alligator!

Gardens By the Bay was organizing a tulip event when we were there, therefore explaining these pretty tulips!

Did you know?

After our rest, we went to the world of plants,

Then.... to the UNDERSTOREY!

We're experiencing the life of a mushroom! HAHA!

Now, to the JUICY fruits and PRETTY flowers section!

After which , we went to the Web of Life and the Discovery section.

Some other photos we took on our way around.

Such a beautiful view..

Singapore Flyer!

One of the giant fish tank at Gardens by the Bay! Cool fishes in it.

Texas Chicken, a place for our teabreak :D Yummy!

The SuperTree grove!

Those trees are real tall, aren't they?

I felt that this trip has opened my mind to more new types of plants, and more information on plants or spices that we see in the area. Of course, on that day, it was tiring as we had school in the morning and went for this outing in the afternoon, it was tiring for us and it was warm in the afternoon. Nonetheless, we had fun and gained more knowledge about the nature reserves in our surrounding! I'll be sure to visit Gardens by the Bay again!

Thats the end of our blog post, so, till the next time sunshines!

Signing off with a picture of us 4,

With love,
Lydia Low. (:
